Less Water Can Be!

FREE -16th Annual Water-Wise Landscape Tour
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

City of Dallas Water Utilities, City of Dallas Stormwater Management, Texas
AgriLife Extension and the Dallas County Master Gardeners are teaming
up with surrounding cities to demonstrate the beauty of Water-Wise and
EarthKind™ gardening with the 16th annual Water-Wise Landscape Tour.

Dallas County Master Gardeners will be conducting free 15 minute talks
on Water-Wise gardening every hour on the hour at each of the tour
headquarters. Dallas County Master Gardener volunteers will also be
assisting homeowners and helping answer questions about the plants
and landscapes on the tour.

The tour is free and self-guided. Feel free to choose your own route and
visit as many of the landscapes as you like. Click on the link below to
view and/or download a tour map. Also, you can click on each
numbered stop for a virtual tour of each landscape that shows its
street location and several photos.

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, American Institute of
Architects Dallas and the Dallas Architecture Forum present The
John F. Kennedy Memorial at 40: A Conversation with Frank Welch
and Dale Sellers. Veletta Forsythe Lill, executive director of the
Dallas Arts District, moderates a lively discussion featuring Frank
Welch, FAIA, architect and author of Philip Johnson & Texas, and
Dale Sellers of Phoenix I Restoration & Construction Ltd, which
provided pro bono services during the 2000 restoration of the
Johnson-designed cenotaph.

Held to mark the 40th anniversary of the dedication of the
Kennedy Memorial, the event includes a reception, book signing
by Mr. Welch and a walk to the memorial (weather permitting) to
unveil gilded engraving donated by Robert Alden Marshall Art
Conservation and Phoenix I.
