FREE Water-Wise Landscape Seminars

Plan to attend one or both of our free seminars. Landscape designer and
author Bonnie Reese will be the speaker at both sessions. The first 100
attendees at each session will receive a copy of Ms. Reese’s
book, “Common-Sense Landscaping.” Attendees can also enter a
drawing for a free 60-gallon rain barrel at the end of each session.

Whether you have a new landscape or plan to update an existing area, it is
critical to begin with a gooddesign. This program teaches the principles of
landscape design with an emphasis on how to create a beautiful landscape
that will save resources - natural and financial!

Fantastic Plants for North Texas
1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Using colorful photographs, Bonnie demonstrates the natural beauty of native
and adapted plants that thrive in the North Texas region. Learn when, where
and how to plant each of the recommended plants,their size and height at
maturity, seasonal color, texture and more. This program provides information
on trees, shrubs, vines, perennials, groundcovers and turf grasses.

TEDxSMU and SculptCAD invite you to the
SculptCAD Rapid Artists Salon and
Sculpture Exhibition

Twelve artists diverged from their regular mediums and were set loose to
create work using state of the art digital media.

Please join us for the exhibit and a TEDxSMU Salon with SculptCAD
President Nancy Hairston and a panel of artists involved with the project.
Afterward the artists will be available for one-on-one discussions about their work,
inspirations and the experience of working with 3D modeling technology.

Mark Vonnahme will be the course presenter and is certified by the Marble
Institute of America in the presentation of this course.  The session will be
one-hour of CEPH.   Mark has worked in the stone industry for more than
fifteen year, and has consulted on a variety of projects.

Course Description:
Attendees will gain knowledge in the ways that different stones are formed
and quarried.  The class also focuses on applications, practical issues and
problems, and finishes available.  The one-hour session addresses definitions
and classifications for a clearer understanding of Stone's appropriate use
in today's buildings and interiors.

23rd Annual VideoFest

The 23rd Annual VideoFest will be at the Angelika Film Center.
The oldest and largest video and film festival in the nation, VideoFest
shows a diverse range of works by regional, national and international
video and film artists that are hard to find at the local video store, the movie
theater or on Netflix. Because VideoFest is different than a traditional film
festival or just going to a movie, expect something different! For the third
year in a row, the VideoFest will be presented thru I-Tunes. VideoFest is
presented by Video Association of Dallas.
