The annual Visual Fine Art Student Exhibition at El Centro College will go on view Saturday
April 21st as part of the DADA Spring Gallery Walk. Works will be presented and awards
given in 9 categories, including Drawing, Painting, Digital, 2D and 3D Design, Ceramics,
Sculpture, and Jewelry. In addition, a Best of Show Award, Invitation Design Award,
Scholarship Award, and multiple Purchase Awards will be announced at the reception.

The co-jurors for this year's event are Dallas artists Val Curry and Lawrence Lee. Val
Curry is currently enrolled in the MFA program at U.T. Dallas, and is a member of the
CentralTrak artist residency program. Lawrence Lee is a 2010 graduate of the MFA
program at Maryland Institute College of Art, and is represented by Barry Whistler
Gallery in Dallas. Mr. Curry and Mr. Lee both completed their undergraduate studies
at Texas A&M Commerce.

As an adjunct to the jurying process, Val Curry will be giving an artist's talk to the
Visual Arts Club at El Centro, on Wednesday April 18th from 12-1 pm in the A/V
Lounge, room B119.
